Mukhtar Hiring Services was founded by the late Hadji Ismail Ali Karbary. The Karbary family has been serving the community as meat suppliers, for many years. Mr. Karbary fulfilled yet another requirement of the community when a hiring services company was founded to cater to their needs. When the hiring company was founded in 1958, Mr. Karbary Snr. named the company after Mukhtar, the only son at the time. The hiring company had very humble beginnings and much of the work was conducted from home. At the same time, the family business, a meat market could not be neglected. Even in those days, the company had to attend to 4 functions, on one day. Sometimes, there were occasions stretching throughout the entire week which had to be catered for. When the demand for the hiring company's services increased and the items on hire were insufficient, the son, Mukhtar was consulted.
